Starting tomorrow Melotic will be implementing a know your customer (“KYC”) and anti-money laundering (“AML”) policy.
Beginning on Thursday, October 16, 2014, they will require users to give identification information to use all services. The company will collect the following user information:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Nationality
- Passport or ID Number
- Issue Date
- Expiration Date
- Address
- Phone Number
This policy will begin tomorrow which gives users a bit of time to withdraw now if they don’t feel comfortable turning over this information to the company.
I did, once. LTBc to Bitcoin. The next day, i got an email informing me of the new KYC requirments. I just wonder what sort of measures they have in place for accepting foreigners.
For example, my National ID does not have an Expiry date. What happens in such a scenarion?
An no one ever traded on Melotic again. But really, did anyone ever trade there? KYC exchanges never last.

There is active trading at poloniex, which does not require ID verification.
