Documentary “Life on Bitcoin” kicks-off this Tuesday

Over a month ago, 99Bitcoins presented the couple Austin and Beccy to you. They were soon to be married at the time, something that has already happened, but what would come next would be nothing like the normal newlywed life.

The couple from Provo, Utah, announced that after their wedding they were going to live only on Bitcoins for 90 days and the adventure is now beginning. Food, fuel, internet, every single thing (even rent)… All will be paid with cryptocurrency!

Austin Craig and Beccy Bingham Craig started a fundraising campaing in the platform Kickstarter and also on their official website, gathering $72,000, as well as 82 BTC (over $7,000 as of Bitcoin’s current value), to pay the filming crew during the making of the documentary. They were also trying to convince their employers to pay their salaries in Bitcoin.

Austin reveals his goal is “to broaden the community of people accepting Bitcoin“, especially in middle America. In order to do that, the actor and video consultant plans to convince local merchants and other people to accept cryptocurrency over the course of the next three months. Like, for instance, convincing their landlord to accept Bitcoins as a form of paying their rent.

According to the project’s website, the adventure kicks-off this Tuesday (23) and you can expect to see updates on their website and through social media. Good luck!
