“Your dollars are no good here”: this is one of the first warnings you get when you enter the CoinForest website. But what is this new platform all about? Well, CoinForest wants to be the online store that gets the best deals for consumers and businesses in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Kind of like Groupon, but with Bitcoins, like On Bitcoin describes it.
Bitcoin Examiner just talked about a group of businesses that started accepting cryptocurrency this week and CoinForest – a business that only works with Bitcoin and offers special discounts to the community of users – fits perfectly in this most recent crypto-wave.
According to the founders of CoinForest, Brandon Gains and John Mardlin, the platform’s main goal is not the profit it can generate. “Our mission is to grow the number of people using Bitcoin and merchants accepting it”, the team explains on their website. Maybe that is why they are donating a portion of the profits from their first week of sales to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Besides Bitcoin related goods and services, like the amazing “Shirtoshi” now featuring on the website’s main page, CoinForest will also be selling 3D printing services, online education services, all you need to develop software and let’s not forget about services for startups and online businesses.
