(CoinDesk) The New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) suggests it is moving steadily toward the release of a finalized BitLicense under which digital currency businesses would be regulated in the state.

(CNBC) Digital Currency Group, a New York-based entity founded by bitcoin advocate Barry Silbert, rebranded its broker-dealer division of SecondMarket Inc specializing in trading virtual currencies including bitcoin, according to a press statement on Thursday.

(Coin Fire) Brawer.com has shutdown. A company insider told Coin Fire’s staff that the developers assumed leadership of the site and have not been paid for an extended period of time. They also reiterated that the site was not profitable and unable to pay staff

 

Coin Fire is a cryptocurrency news site started on June 6th of 2014. The site focused on hard-hitting investigative stories. Coin Fire was acquired by 99Bitcoins on October 2015.
