For storage of significant quantities of XRP, I’d say a Ledger hardware wallet such as the Nano S is best. It supports most other really popular cryptos too and gives you very secure storage without much technical knowledge required.
Otherwise, check out Rippex for an open source software wallet you run on your own machine. Provided that you keep your machine well-secured, this should be fairly safe option suitable for small to medium amounts.
GateHub or CoinPayments are online wallets which are probably the least secure option, as they involve trusting these sites with your ripples. I would not recommending them for anything besides making small payments as they’re quite convenient for this purpose.
