Using my Trezor Wallet I am automatically directed to use MyEtherWallet to store ETH. Is there any other option ? and in doing so at the ETH keys actually stored on my Trezor Hardware wallet .
Thank you for your help.

Hi Philip,

Yes, you can use the two together and this will probably be a great combination. Trezor provides excellent security and the MyEtherWallet lets you do just about everything possible with Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens.

The private key which controls your Ethereum is held on the Trezor. When MyEtherWallet needs to access the private key to send ETH or sign for your addresses, then it sends a request to the Trezor. The Trezor then used the privkey in its own isolated hardware environment and sends the authorized / signed data back to MyEtherWallet. In this way, your private keys never leave the Trezor… What this all means is that it should be perfectly safe, provided you follow Trezor’s guide to setting it up correctly.
