Cynthia Moeller asked 1 year ago

I have invested in bitcoin and think I have gotten into more then I wanted to. I want to cash out and have no idea how to go about it.

Hi Cynthia,
OK, you’re not the only person to feel nervous about your crypto investment. That’s natural given the recent bearish price action. I would say the first step is to think your decision through calmly. It might help to speak with people familiar with markets and Bitcoin.
There’s really no great mystery to selling. It’s just the reverse of buying: instead of swapping fiat for Bitcoin, you swap Bitcoin for fiat.
Where did you originally purchase your Bitcoin? If it’s an exchange which is still around, then that’s where I’d recommend you sell your coin too. Otherwise you can cash out by selling on a different exchange, selling in person, selling via a Bitcoin ATM, and so on.
The best method for you will depend on your location and preferred method of fiat payment. If you let me know your preferences, I can give some more specific recommendations.
