Were you trying to update the firmware? There was a new firmware release to patch a bug, as far as I know, so the process may have started automatically. It sounds like it’s gotten stuck on your device.
I strongly suggest that you contact Ledger’s support or at least ask for more info on one of their social channels, such as https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet
I haven’t encountered this problem before and as it could be potentially serious, I would advise you to get more specific advice only from Ledger’s technical experts.
