I had some bitcoin stored on a physical coin which I imported to bread following the fork in August this year.  I then sent the bitcoin to coinbase to trade it but cannot see any bitcoin cash associated with the import to bread, presumably because they don’t support it, but where is my bitcoin cash now?!

Hi Hugo,

Your Bcash is likely still associated with the address and private key of the physical coin. As the coin is now empty of BTC, it should be safe to import the privkey into a Bcash wallet. I believe we recommended Electron or Coinomi for this purpose in our guide to claiming Bcash:
