Bitcoin Questions and AnswersCategory: General questionsI need to find the originator of my BTC wallet

Usually, I would go to my Browsing History and that could help answer the question, but I received a new computer.

I have 0.095951 BTC and I want to transfer it out of this wallet, and “cash it n,” actually.

Hi Tim,
OK, there is some important information missing from your question which makes it hard to answer. The major point concerns which particular wallet you’re using…
So long as you have the private key (and password, if one is set) to that wallet, you will be able to move the bitcoins. This means you can then cash them in on an exchange or buy selling to an individual.
Do you have the private key? It may be in the form of a wallet.dat file in the case of Bitcoin Core and similar wallets, or as a seed phrase (list of words) for a HD wallet, such as Electrum.
