hi there iam running a computer with MSI GeForce GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC. 1920 Cuda Core PCIE 3.0 8 GB GDDR5 256-Bit Graphics Card inside it, its a very powerful card now when im using a bitcoin pool , i dont hear it working very hard ? so am wondering as i usually leave this beast working day and night without turning it off? bills are not too high, do you think it will make much difference if im using it too mine coins? as i dont turn it off anyway?
today you won’t be able to mine anything Bitcoin related with a graphics card. I suggest you read this post and understand a bit about ASIC miners and why they basically make GPUs obsolete for mining Bitcoins. Perhaps you can try to mine other cryptocurrencies but I don’t have much knowledge about that personally.
It depends on the electricity cost in your country I guess. You could use the Bitcoin mining calculator to figure out the costs:
okay well how much does asic miners cost to run? what if you only ran it for about 4 hours a day something like that, i mean i wont know if the particular wattage costs a lot, i mean i leave my powerful on GPU day and night , i wouldnt want thousand doller bills
