I’ve some TKN (https://etherscan.io/token/TokenCard) in a hosted wallet at the liqui.io exchange.
I’d like to move this TKN into my Jaxx wallet.
How do I do this while retaining the TKN tokens?
I believe I lack understanding as follows:
- What is an ETH token, and how does it differ from ETH?
- How does an ETH wallet figure out and retain that it is a token? How do I make sure that I retain my TKN as TKN?
- I figure “gas” is the ETH “miner fee?” How do I figure out how much gas to give a transaction?
- It is my understanding, then, that I can exchange inter-ETH-token for no further cost than the gas to fee the “miner fee”?
Hey Matt, great question, not sure I can answer since I’m no Ethereum expert :) But I’ll try…
From what I understand TKNs are tokens bought through an ICO which I assume you participated in. From the little research I’ve done it looks like Token Market allows you to sell your token so perhaps you can trade it there.
Here is an in-depth explanation about Gas. I have to say it’s not very intuitive.
I know it’s not a lot of help but I guess the right place to ask this would be the Ethereum community forum where they will probably be able to help out more.
Thanks for dropping by!
