Ether Wallet vs Ledger

Ray Clayton asked 5 months ago

I have an Ether Wallet. When I buy new coins, do they have to go through this Wallet and then to my Ledger Nano S or can they go directly to the Ledger.

I am new to this business and having researched the Altcoin industry as best I can over the last couple of months, this is the first site that has made it simple – fantastic. I guess also, that it is English??

Hi Ray,

They can go directly to the Ledger ETH Wallet associated with your device. This will be the ETH wallet plugin in Chrome for Ledger. Just pick out the right address from that wallet and send your coins there. You  shouldn’t be using a separate ETH wallet (unless it’s associated with your Ledger) as it won’t have the same level of high security as your Ledger(-connected) wallet.

Great, glad you find the site helpful! We try to make the complex simple here.
