Bitcoin Armory concerns?

ROBB asked 3 years ago

Love what you do!

My question is..
I currently store my BTC in AMORY Wallet. Cold Storage.
Today I discovered that Amory is no longer serviced.

Should I be concerned? Should I transfer my BTC to another wallet? Who.

Also today is pre-fork. My BTC is in Armory. How or will I also receive BitCoinCash tokens after the fork?

Should I stay with Armory… what would you suggest.
I do now have a KRAKEN account. But I have been advised to not keep any BTC on an exchange until after the fork?

Much appreciated.
Best regards from Canada

Hey Robb, can you also please provide a link to where you saw that the wallet is no longer supported?

Hi Robb, as Armory is no longer supported, probably it is best to transfer your Bitcoins to another wallet as it is always advised to keep your coins in a wallet that is updated regularly. Here you can find a list of wallets that are currently available on the market. Indeed, storing Bitcoins on an exchange is not the safest solution, it is better to use a cold storage solution. However, if you decide to keep your Bitcoins on Armory, these will remain Bitcoins in your wallet after the hard fork too, as special upgrades are needed in order to handle Bitcoin Cash.
