Australian law firm adopts BitPOS to accept Bitcoin payments

Adroit Lawyers has turned into one of the first law firms in Australia to accept Bitcoin as a payment option. The company, a founding partner in the Bitcoin merchant services provider BitPOS, is based in Sydney and specializes in providing corporate and commercial advice to the manufacturing, IT, media and services sectors.

The decision was encouraged by the firm’s legal director. Mark Toohey believes that cryptocurrency “will soon graduate from the ‘early adoption’ phase and become a commonly used form of secure online payment”, states a press release.

According to Toohey, who founded the company in 2008, “Bitcoins facilitate a cost effective and secure form of online payment. Reduced transaction fees and immediate settlement have the potential to dramatically alter the way business is done online”.

When people transact using Bitcoins they will be impressed with how quick, cheap and easy the transaction process is. Bitcoin breaks down the barriers in traditional payment methods and allows service providers like us to harness the true potential of online payments.

Jason Williams, founder of BitPOS, says that “services like BitPOS provide transaction verification and authorization to encourage confidence in this new payment system. BitPOS provides a secure and simple way to use Bitcoins for both online and offline transactions”.

But BitPOS has more (good) news to announce. The service is also helping the first Bitcoin-friendly restaurant in Sydney to accept digital money. The customers of The Owl House will soon be able to pay for their meals with cryptocurrency.
