Bitcoin is used in a smorgasbord of ways now that it’s showed itself to be stable. With huge gains in 2017 alone, it only makes sense people want to receive bitcoin for goods and services. Here are some at the fore.

Shopping Online

More and more companies are adding Bitcoin as a trusted mode of payment in their stores online. Microsoft is a good example of these enterprises, as it added Bitcoin to its list of payment methods back in 2014.  This made it possible for shoppers to pay using bitcoin money to buy videos, games, apps, and other services offered by the company.

Other famous companies that have added Bitcoin to their list of payment methods include Overstock, Dell, TigerDirect, and Cheap Air. Target, Walmart, Nike, and Amazon also accept bitcoin payments, especially from Gyft.

Hotels and Restaurants

The popularity of Bitcoin payments has been rising steadily over the recent past. Hotels and restaurants, including travel companies such as Expedia, have added bitcoin to their accepted modes of payment. Some of these companies have teamed up with Coinbase to make the digital currency an accepted method of payment.

Although very few bars and restaurants do accept bitcoin for payment, we expect to see an improvement in these considering travel companies have taken the lead. Don’t be surprised to find a local bar or restaurant accepting the digital currency.

In Online Casinos

Most gamers, and especially gamblers prefer using bitcoin for betting or any other transactions in online casinos. This is mainly because betting with Bitcoin provides a fast, safe, and secure way to pay online. Bitcoin also enables you to keep track of all bets placed in the online casino through a blockchain.

Many online casino operators accept bitcoin payments as an alternative to other currencies and payment methods.  Some casino operators operate/deal solely in Bitcoin in the quest to make transactions safe and secure. Many of these brands partner with sites to make betting easy using the currency. The sites also prove handy tips on bitcoin that you ought to know.

Charity

Some of the biggest charity organizations such as Save the Children, the Human Rights Foundation, The Water Project, and FreeSnowden accept bitcoin contributions to the accounts. This is mainly because some donors may want to follow up to see how their money has been spent, and if it is for a good course.  Bitcoin also reduces transaction costs significantly, meaning more money goes to the charity organizations. According to the Financial Times, Bitcoin could change how charities operate today.

Although you may know this already, Bitcoin for Charity helps connect donors with bitcoin charities. Twelve of the most reliable charities are members of this site already.

Bitcoin is still the most diverse currency on the planet its value continues to grow each day.  Many people see a future in the digital currency and are willing to use bitcoin wallets to secure their currency’s worth.

Having delved into futures trading in the past, my intrigue in financial, economic, and political affairs eventually led me to a striking realization: the current debt-based fiat system is fundamentally flawed. This revelation prompted me to explore alternative avenues, including investments in gold and, since early 2013, Bitcoin. While not extensively tech-savvy, I've immersed myself in Bitcoin through dedicated study, persistent questioning, hands-on experience with ecommerce and marketing ventures, and my stint as a journalist. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and presently, I'm focused on crafting informative guides to shed light on the myriad advantages of Bitcoin, aiming to empower others to navigate the dynamic realm of digital currencies.
